Well, again, I suddenly feel the urge to write. And since I don’t have any REAL games to review, I’m going to… half-review half games… yeah. Let’s see how it goes.  About a month or two ago, I came across this VERY cool site named DSiCade. Obviously this site is located at http://dsicade.com/. I know this probably all sounds like advertising, but it is not, but you probably won’t believe me when I say that… hm… anyways, DSiCade is a website build specifically for the DSi, and is pretty neat. There are a series of games and apps that were built for the DSi Web Browser. At first it started out with just three choices, Touch Mii, which was like a Simon clone, War Games,a Missile Command clone that was a little buggy at first, but seems to be better now. Then there was the ShoutBox, which pretty much was a chatroom full of… people. Nothing much to it. I still find it a little slow, though.

The last time I was on DSiCade, there were only those three apps/games. Now there are 11 total games/apps. I’ll make a list with a description and the names.

• Defend Our Home – Kind of like an Arkanoid with powerups. Actually a very good game. Controls well and is very smooth.
• Wacky Tap DSi – A small game where you just tap buttons that appear in different areas of the screen. Simple, but actually kind of addicting, although sometimes my ‘clicks’ didn’t register.
• Hangman – Self-eplanitory. Not bad at all, although the letters are put really close to each other, which makes some mistakes happen often.
• Sudoku – Whatever the name says it is. What you’d expect. I haven’t had much time with it, though, so I don’t know about any issues or similar things.
• Puzzle – a puzzle game. It’s actually quite fun, except it’s hard finding the right place to start and actually knowing if you did the thing right. There is no end page…
• DSiPaint Demo – Kind of like MS paint, except compacted on your DSi! Actually very well made, except that you have to go reaaaallly slooooowww with your stylus or else you won’t have a line, you’ll just have bits and pieces here and there.
• DSiCalc – A beautiful calculator for the DSi that works perfectly. I have not seen ANY flaws… yet. Looks nice, is responsive, and did I say it looks nice?
• Phong -  a Pong clone that isn’t bad, but sometimes the ‘ball’ doesn’t bounce on the actual border. Instead, it bounces 5 pixels below the upper border, which makes things more interesting sometimes.

Overall, DSiCade is a great time-waster that you must go to if you have a DSi. Some games you won’t like at all, but others will have you hooked for a little bit.

What do you know, a new post already. I was just looking at different things on YouTube, and noticed that there was a :30 ad before the actual video itself. I don’t know if this is new or not, but I am not a fan of this at all. I don’t know why they need even more ads on YouTube, but you never know I guess. I haven’t heard of this before, so I’m just getting it out there if it hasn’t been already.

I recently purchased a broken Xbox 360 off of ebay, which I am hoping to eventually repair. I’m just giving you guys the heads-up that I may start covering 360 news soon, since the whole topic becomes much more interesting when you can actually play the games you are talking about. If any of you guys are wondering, it has the e74 error, but I do not know what the actual error code is. I am also going to do the X-clamp fix followed by “baking".” (BUT NO TOWELS) I’ll see if the whole X-clamp mod actually works, and who knows, I may end up with a 360 in my hands.

Sorry that I haven’t been posting much. It’s the summer drought again, and I don’t really have any new games to talk about. I may write an ExciteBots: Trick Racing review, but for some reason, I just feel… no real need to write. Sometimes I just write because I’m bored and it sounds fun, but some other things are just more of a chore, so if I get an idea of what to write about, I’ll post it right away, but for now, I just don’t feel the “push.” I don’t know what it is, but hopefully later I will get some ideas.

Nintendo already has a money maker in their hands, but how much of one will it turn out to be? By the looks of it so far… HUGE. I myself might pick up this one on launch day. Some things look absolutely amazing. I think that there are 12 sports including basketball, skydiving, Frisbee golf, and others. There are also two sports that have come from the original Wii Sports but are new and improved. These sports are Bowling and Golf. Wii Sports Resort comes with the MotionPlus attachment which I talked about earlier, and some of the games use it to its full potential. I think I am going to be spending a lot of time with the new golf game, that’s for sure.

The golf for Wii Sports Resort has the 9 holes from the original Wii Sports, plus 9 more. And the new controls look fantastic. With MotionPlus, the game takes into account your backswing, how your wrists are turned, and what happens when you actually swing the club. If it works as well as I’ve heard it’s worked, I think this will be one of the best games in Wii Sports Resort. Another neat sport is the Jet Ski one. you hold out the remote and Nunchuk in front of you and you twist the Wii Remote backwards for the throttle, and tilt both the remote and the Nunchuk left or right to turn.

Overall, Wii Sports Resort impresses me, even though it’s just supposedly an ‘enhanced’ Wii Sports. When I get it, it may be different, but no matter what for Nintendo, Wii Sports Resort = Moneh.

I have only heard good things about Tiger Woods 10 with the MotionPlus. I have not, just to clear things up, used the MotionPlus peripheral itself. I sure want to, though, on what I’ve heard. Nintendo said that the little cube that attatches to the bottom of the Wii Remote would give me 1:1 motion is games. I thought, ‘Yeah right.’ Sure, I had some hope somewhere I guess, but I didn’t think it would be ‘true’ 1:1. If you don’t know what 1:1 means, it means that whatever movement you make with the controller, weather you tilt, roll, slide, whatever, it registers in the game as the exact same movement. I have only been impressed by Nintendo, but the only thing that may go wrong is having no 3rd party support. I think Nintendo did a good great job with this, but hopefully MotionPlus doesn’t get passed by Microsoft’s Project Natal or the Sony’s new PS3 motion controller.
