What Next, Activision?

First Guitar Hero, sure fine. Great series and all. Guitar Hero II, then Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Then Guitar Hero World Tour, good, except the name sucks because, well, that’s Rock Band’s main mode. Now Activision announced 4…F-O-U-R new “Hero” games. Don’t you think that’s gone a little too far?The four new games are Guitar Hero 5, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, DJ Hero, and Band Hero. What’s up with hero? Have you realized that it only halfway sounds good with ‘Guitar’ in front of it? Guitar Hero 5 I was expecting to be the sequel to Guitar Hero: World Tour with it’s full band and schnuff. But then, you have Band Hero. What? Is that what you’re thinking too? So is Guitar Hero 5  just back to Guitar only? And Band Hero first of all doesn’t make any sense because of Guitar Hero 5, and Band Hero sounds crappy, just the name. How can you be a ‘Band Hero’? It just doesn’t sound great. Just call it ‘Band Game: Some Game You Can Play With Your Friends With All Kinds of Freaking Instruments.’ Ok, mabye not that, but still. I don’t care if it has Hero in it. Sure, it’ll get you an extra 10,000 sales, but just stop it, would you? DJ Hero… mabye, but don’t ya think you could come up with a more original name? Are you seriously that desperate. Last I checked, the music game industry was doing pretty darn well. Come up with something original, Activision. Just slap a tag in the bottom corner saying ‘from the makers of Guitar Hero’ rather than putting ‘Hero’ in the title.
